Dockyard & Engineering Works Limited (DEW) is one of the state-owned navy run shipyard. It was established in 1926 in the riverbank of Shitalakshya during the British era and has been contributing in the maritime sector for more than nine decades. Equipped with modern machinery and equipment, this yard remains ready at all times to serve the nation. When quality is the prime concern for new building or repair works, DEW is one of the very few chosen by the Government or other private organizations. So far, DEW has built a good number of ships and crafts such as Patrol Craft, Landing Craft Tank (LCT), Speed Boat (FRP/GRP), Ro-Ro Ferry, Tug Boat, Cargo vessel, Oil Tanker, Dredger, Buoy, House Boat, Pontoons, etc for different government, commercial and private organizations of Bangladesh. The yard has also been providing re-engining, re-powering, and repairing services to different organizations on numerous occasions. Apart from the shipbuilding and repair job, DEW has also been engaged in various nation building projects such as river excavation, river and canal dredging, embankment construction/protection, land development, etc. We are committed to perform a strong responsible role for sustainability through implementing quality in infrastructure/construction projects and providing innovative products & services.
